Straight talk: most of our evaluation is research-based, and we say so.
Our research-based approach
Most product guides on Soft Care Guide are based on systematic research of public information rather than hands-on laboratory testing. Specifically, we:
- Review official product documentation and specifications from manufacturers
- Analyze patterns in user feedback across retail and community sources
- Cross-check claims against reputable third-party and medical sources
- Apply consistent evaluation criteria (see review methodology)
When we do hands-on testing
If and when we conduct hands-on testing (for example, absorbency or leak checks), we will say so explicitly on the relevant page and describe exactly how the test was done, including limitations. We will never imply testing we have not performed.
Why this matters
Honest methodology protects you and us. You know exactly what your recommendation is based on, and we keep our independence — no manufacturer can influence a process that is transparent and documented.
